Pumpkins These fall into "new work" rather than seasonal because they are just too fun to do only part of the year. I may take a stab at a cassarole with a lid for fall. |
Cauldrons with Snakes Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble... - Shakespeare (from Macbeth) Another seasonal whim of mine.

Memorial Forget-Me-Not Bowl Originally made in memory of my Dad who passed away last October (Dad used to call all flowers "posies"). I like the symbolism of the Forget-Me-Not with its promised to rememeber loved ones. All the new ones have Remember Me stamped into the bottom of the pot.

Lotus Appearing for now mostly on the garlic pots, the lotus will be gracing bowls, cups maybe other things soon. It is a flower held sacred by Hindus, Buddhists, and ancient Egyptians among others representing spiritual purity. Stay tuned for more pictures later in the year. |
Waves Another inspiration from the ocean, this design evolved initially so that I could test glazes for the Octopus pots, and I think it is a keeper.

Sunflower Plate This is a small version of the bigger platters that were fired in the Edina Art Center's updraft kiln for a firing class.
