Swans

Symbolic of fidelity and beauty, swans represent the ideal of life-long love. They also embody a union of water and air, and are thus believed to be able to travel between the land of the living and the land of the dead.

Octopus/Cephalopod

The octopus is symbolic of intelligence, adaptability, creative problem solving, and transformation. The ancient Minoans decorated vessels with an octopus unfurling which is thought to be symbolic of the creating and the expanding of the universe.

 

Geckos

Symbolic of conservation, agility, dreaming, renewal, observation and perceptiveness. The gecko can lose its tail to get away from danger and grow another one! Geckos bless the home and are considered around the world to be lucky.

 

Snails

Snails represent being at home wherever you are. Their shell is a spiral, symbolizing change and growth. They represent the ideals of small communities in the face of global economies, simplicity and a slower paced life.

Luna Moth

Representing optimism and spiritual growth, the moth is a symbol of sensitivity, impulsiveness, and ephemeral beauty. The Luna Moth has strong associations with the moon, and therefore intuition, dreams, and visions. Since they are nocturnal they represent following the path of light in the darkness.

Egret

The white egret is a symbol of infinity. To the Maori a great egret, Kotuku, symbolizes everything rare and beautiful.
